A car entering a German low-emission zone generally needs the sticker required there, unless a specific exemption applies. The rule also covers cars registered outside Germany.

Your registration certificate is what matters

We check the fuel type, emissions information and other details in your registration certificate. The age or model name alone does not reliably establish eligibility. A sticker does not override a separate local diesel restriction.
